5 Teeth Tips for Summer Vacations

​Summer is officially here! Kids are out of school, the weather is nice, and it’s the perfect time to travel as a family and make money. Whether you are driving or flying, however, traveling can be stressful. Here are our tips for staying healthy this summer even when you are away from home.

  1. Eat a healthy breakfast.

Sugary cereals and baked goods can set you up for failure if you have a day jam-packed with activities ahead of you. To keep your energy up, start your travel days off with a good breakfast. Your body and your teeth need the nutrients in fresh fruits, eggs, yogurt, and calcium-fortified cereal.

  1. Drink lots of water.

Water dilutes sugar you consume and flushes out bacteria, plus staying hydrated helps keep your immune system and energy levels strong. This is especially important when you are traveling and getting exposed to new germs.

  1. Dry your toothbrush.

If you pack your toothbrush wet, it will grow bacteria more quickly and easily. Dry your toothbrush before packing it.
