Best Ways to Enjoy the Last Days of Fall

Fall in Utah has to be one of the most beautiful seasons of the year. With the gorgeous changing leaves and moderate temperatures, this year especially has been memorably pleasant. The season will soon come to a close, however, and time is running out to enjoy the beauties fall can bring. Here are 3 ways your family can take advantage of these last weeks of fall before it gets too cold!

1.) Go Leaf-Peeping. If you haven't already, take an afternoon to drive through the mountains and rural areas to get a good look at the beautiful changing leaves! With bright golds, warm reds, and burnt oranges, you cannot help but admire the breathtaking swatch of color this season brings.

2.) Check out the last weeks of Farmer's Markets. Fresh produce from an autumn harvest make this the best time of year to check out a farmer's market. Apples, squash, zucchini, pears, honey, and other fresh foods can be found at a relatively low price (especially if you go near the final hours of the market) and you support locally grown produce!

3.) Take your family "Half-Camping." A great way to enjoy the fall air, fall colors, and fall treats is to take your family half-camping. You can have a bonfire and roast marshmallows (as long as you brush right after!) or wake everyone up early on a Saturday morning, head up to the mountains, and cook pancakes and hot chocolate on a camp stove. A great way to get the family outdoors one last time before winter hits, and a great way to enjoy the season, half-camping is a low stress, easy way to get out without having to sleep on the ground.
