Enamel-friendly foods

Did you know that highly acidic foods will cause enamel erosion? An acid-rich diet will hurt your teeth and cause acid erosion. Consuming four or more servings of acidic food or drink in a day will put you at risk—it doesn’t mean you have to stop drinking soda, mangos, or other highly acidic foods, it just means to beware of over doing it.

Highly Acidic Foods (be aware and don’t eat too much of any of these in a day to protect the enamel of your teeth):

  1. Cherries
  2. Grapefruit Juice, Lemon Juice
  3. Carbonated drinks
  4. Pickles
  5. Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries

Enamel-friendly, low-acidity foods:

  1. Eggs
  2. Cucumber
  3. Whole grains (millet, flax, quinoa)
  4. Unsweetened yogurt, milk
  5. Avocado
